Lagoon #150 Update 6/3/2009

I stopped by Lagoon #150 at 2:15PM today and the pump was in operation. The one worker on site said that he had just started pumping. Even though they were pumping, the 4" flexible discharge hose wasn't very full (I estimate about 1/4 expanded, if that). I reduced the kink somewhat by holding the hose and the volume output increased considerably. Once I let go of the hose, the volume output decreased. I pointed out the kinked hose to the worker and suggested they add a 90 degree elbow to the pump output port. Although he spoke some English,he looked at me quizically. I then told him to tell his boss that they should add the 90 degree elbow. If they do, they'll pump down the lagoon a lot faster. The worker estimated another day or two to pump this lagoon down. We'll see!

  1. does anybody remember this old song?

The faucet it is dripping and the fence is falling down
My pocket needs some money so I can't go in to town
My brother he ain't working and my sister doesn't care
The car it needs a motor so I can't go anywhere

    Manana Manana
Manana is soon enough for me

Once I had some money but I gave it to a friend
He said he'd pay me double he was only for a lend
But he said a little later that the horse it was so slow
Why he gave the horse my money is something I don't know

    Manana Manana
Manana is good enough for me

My brother took his suitcase and he went away to school
My father said he only learned to be a silly fool
My father said that I should learn to make a chili pot
But then I burned the house down the chili was too hot

    Manana Manana
Manana is soon enough for me

The window it is busted and the rain is coming in
If someone doesn't fix it I'll be soaking to my skin
But if we wait a day or two the rain may go away
And we don't need a window on such a lovely day
Manana manana manana is soon enough for me
Manana manana manana is soon enough for me

  2. Some things never change. Pulte never disappoints us. They claim they've given this Phase 5 lagoon reconstruction project "priority". They really do believe we're stupid, blind too. They claimed that there would be oversight - by Thomas & Hutton and Pulte. Or maybe they meant that the whole project is an oversight, that is, neglected. How sad that they care so little for their own credibility.
